Lindy Singular is the 2009
Phillipsburg Rodeo Queen
The cowgirl, a resident of Linn , Kan. , was crowned at the 2009 Kansas ' Biggest Rodeo in Phillipsburg .
She will graduate from Linn High School in May of 2010. While in high school, she played volleyball and basketball and participated in FBLA, FCCLA, and Art Club. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was co-editor of the Linn High School yearbook. She is the 2010 North Central District Reporter for FFA and was on the nursery, landscape and design judging team that won nationals at the National FFA convention in 2009. Individually, she placed sixth in the same contest.
Lindy is active in 4-H, showing horses and sheep and giving riding lessons to young 4-H participants.
For her and her family, aunts, uncles, and cousins, vacation time took place at Kansas ' Biggest Rodeo every year. “It was our big family activity that we did for the summer,” she said. The entire family would congregate at grandma and grandpa's house in Phillipsburg and attend the rodeo. Lindy wanted to compete in a rodeo queen pageant, but Washington County , her residence, didn't host a pageant. So she tried for the Phillipsburg pageant, her very first contest, and won.
After high school, Lindy will attend Kansas State University in Manhattan and work on a degree in agricultural finance.
She is the daughter of Lee and Deedee Singular, and the oldest of triplets, including brothers Logan and Landon.
