PHILLIPSBURG RODEO ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The 2026 recipients of scholarships from the Phillipsburg Rodeo Association have been announced.

Jenna Hendrickson and Brady Papay, students at Ft. Hays (Kan.) State University, and Austin Camara and Paisley Gallegos, students at Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Neb., have each received $500 scholarships.

Jenna Hendrickson, Spearville, Kan., will begin her junior year at Ft. Hays State this fall, majoring in animal science. She is president of the Ft. Hays State Rodeo Club and competes in the breakaway roping. She is the daughter of John and Teri Hendrickson.

Brady Papay, Mead, Kan., will graduate from Ft. Hays State next December with a degree in Ag Business. He is a team roper and is the son of Kenneth Papay.

Austin Camara, Kalaheo, Hawaii, will return to Mid-Plains Community College for a third year, working towards an associate degree in building and construction. He is a team roper and is the son of August and Ginger Camara.

Paisley Gallegos will be a second-year student at Mid-Plains, working towards an associate of arts with a business certificate. The Keenesburg, Colorado cowgirl is a barrel racer and is the daughter of Chris and Susan Gallegos.
